The City of Maple Valley is the proud owner of Lake Wilderness Park. This premier Park has been a favorite get-a-way location for over 100 years. The clean water, fresh air, safe surroundings along with an award winning life guarding staff has made it one of the Northwest's premier lakes for families. During a summer visit, the public has many aquatic and recreational opportunities from which to choose. Boat and paddle board rentals, as well as, a concession stand are available during open hours. Swim Beach with Seasonal Lifeguards
The swim Beach Offers a comfortable place for all ages to swim. Lifeguards are on-duty daily from June 24-August 27, 2017. Hours of operation are 12:00-7:00pm.
Beach Closings / Inclement Weather
On occasion, the NO LIFEGUARD ON DUTY signs will be posted and Lake Wilderness Park swimming beach will close prior to the posted hours. This will happen due to the temperature falling below 65 degrees, lack of attendance, rain, lightning and other threatening weather conditions. This area will also close for any situation that would jeopardize the health/safety of the people present. The public is cautioned but may continue to use the Park and beach areas at their own risk. Public Boat Launch Lake Wilderness has a public boat launch located at the south end of the Park. No internal combustion engines are allowed on the Lake. Please remember that Lake Wilderness is a “NO WAKE LAKE.”
Boat Rentals (Seasonal Only)

Public Boat Launch
Lake Wilderness has a public boat launch located at the south end of the Park. No internal combustion engines are allowed on the Lake. Please remember that Lake Wilderness is a “NO WAKE LAKE.”
Concession Stand Open (Seasonal Only)
During the summer months (June-August) the beach staff operates a small concession stand at the Beach House. The stand is open from 12:00-7:00pm. The stand is closed on cool and/or less busy days and when a special event features a concession stand.
