City of Maple Valley awarded Washington State Archives’ Local Records Grant
The City of Maple Valley’s diligent and prudent pursuit of grant funds has once again paid off. On May 1st, the City was notified that it has been awarded a Washington State Archives’ Local Records Grant for digital imaging in the amount of $15,000.
Every year, the City Clerk’s Office identifies a series of records to have scanned and digitized. The grant funds will reimburse the City for the cost of digital imaging in 2018.
Digitally imaging city records makes them more accessible, easier to search, and reduces the cost of records storage.
For more information about this grant or the City's records management program, please contact Shaunna Lee-Rice, City Clerk, at (425) 413-8800 or email@example.com.
