Maple Valley City Council Supports Maple Valley Fire and Life Safety

At its October 9, 2017 Special meeting, after a public hearing to hear opposition to and support for a ballot proposition scheduled for a vote on November 7, 2017, the Maple Valley City Council unanimously approved Resolution R-17-1181, expressing their support for the ballot measure put before the voters by Maple Valley Fire & Life Safety (King County Fire Protection District No. 43) as Proposition 1, which would authorize the restoration of the previous property tax levy rate of $1.50 per $1,000 of assessed valuation for a six-year period (2018-2023).  For more details, please visit the Maple Valley Fire and Life Safety website at https://www.maplevalleyfire.org/maple-valley-fire/chiefs-corner-october-2017/.
