The City of Maple Valley will hold a hearing to receive public testimony prior to a land-use decision on a preliminary plat proposal to subdivide 14 vacant acres zoned R-6 into 72 lots for construction of single-family detached residences and associated improvements.
The hearing will take place on June 29, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. in the Maple Room at Lake Wilderness Lodge, 22500 S.E. 248th St.

SEPA Determination of Non-significance (DNS); File CD1605-002
On April 19, 2017, the Department of Public Works and Community Development received an application for a SEPA threshold determination for the above referenced proposal.
The proponent is M. Jamie Durkan for Rainier Ridge Development LLC, PO Box 1471, Maple Valley, WA 98038.
The project is south of and abutting Southeast 288th Street at about the 23800 Block Southeast.
The lead agency is the City of Maple Valley. The responsible official is Laura Philpot, City Manager, PO Box 320, Maple Valley, WA 98038.
The lead agency has determined that this proposal will not have a probable significant adverse impact on the environment. An Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) is not required under RCW 43.21C.030 (2)(c).
This decision was made after review of an environmental checklist and other information on file with the lead agency. Documents related to this application may be reviewed by appointment at City Hall, 22017 S.E. Wax Rd., Suite 200.
This DNS is issued using the Optional DNS process in WAC 197-11-355. There is no further comment period on this DNS.
You may appeal this determination in writing to the Hearing Examiner no later than 5:00 p.m. on June 27, 2017 by filing a notice of appeal in accordance with Maple Valley Municipal Code.
