Post Date:04/17/2017 4:54 PM

Notice of Anticipated SEPA DNS
Zoning Code Amendments

The City of Maple Valley has proposed amendments to its municipal code to implement Low Impact Development (LID) codes and amend the zoning code to allow for the sale of recreational marijuana, limiting the number of stores to two.

The lead agency is City of Maple Valley.

The lead agency expects to issue a determination of non-significance (DNS) for this project.

The Optional DNS process (WAC 197-11-355) is being used to administer this application.

This may be the only opportunity to comment on the environmental impacts of the proposal. Comments must be submitted no later than May 5, 2017.

The proposal may include mitigation measures under applicable codes, and the project review process may incorporate or require mitigation measures regardless of whether an EIS is prepared.

A copy of the subsequent threshold determination for this proposal may be obtained upon request.

The responsible official is Scott Tkach, Director of Public Works and Community Development, P.O. Box 320, Maple valley, WA. 98038; 425-413-8800.

The project file is available for public review at City Hall located at 22017 S.E. Wax Road between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.  For further information, contact Matt Torpey, at 425-413-6632.
