Post Date:01/13/2017 4:46 PM

The Maple Valley City Council plans to attend the annual Association of Washington Cities City Action Days, February 14-16, 2017, to meet with Legislators in order to convey its 2017 Legislative Priorities.  The Council vetted these priorities through their processes to ensure that their time with the Legislators facilitates a continued strong and collaborative working relationship while representing the needs of the community.

The Council’s identified priorities include:

  • Transportation: Funding for State Route 169 improvements
  • State Highway Maintenance Responsibilities

The City Council also supports the Association of Washington Cities Legislative and Sound Cities Priorities.  To see the Legislative Priorities brochure, which will be provided to the Legislators, or to view more information on other scheduled Council and Legislators meetings, please visit the City of Maple Valley’s website at http://www.maplevalleywa.gov/city-government/city-council/council-priorities/legislative-priorities.

Residents are also encouraged to share their ideas and thoughts about these priorities or any other details by either contacting City Hall at 425-413-8800, attend a City Council Meeting, which are held on the 2nd and 4th Mondays of the month, or email your council at council@maplevalleywa.gov.
